experience inner harmony

ancient tools for a better future now

Sound meditation is a practice built on the ancient wisdom of several lineages as well as a modern understanding of how the mind and body are affected by sound. By approaching our experience as a sound meditation and focusing on overtone instruments like the gong, our results are more powerful than the typical sound “bath” or “healing”. This process facilitates a more interactive experience and a way deeper transformation. Sound meditation helps optimize our brain wave states and heart rate variability while resetting our nervous system so we can get to a clear mind and a full heart.

about the founder

Quddus Philippe is a shamanic guide, sound facilitator and the founder of Sound Sanctuary. Surrounded by the instruments he affectionately calls his “bandmates,” Quddus guides individuals and groups through transformational sound and psychedelic experiences. His journey began as a campus radio DJ, leading to a prominent role as the host of MTV’s Total Request Live, where TIME Magazine recognized him as “one of pop culture’s foremost tastemakers.” After a personal transformation influenced by sound meditation, Quddus dedicated himself to studying under leading sound practitioners and now he develops others through the Sound Sanctuary Academy.
